Google Apps in the ELA K-12 Classroom

Complimentary After School Professional Development Workshops





This workshop is geared for K-12 educators who are interested in learning how to implement the Google Apps for Education package, including: Classroom, Docs, Sheets and Forms. For more advanced users,  this workshop will examine Doctopus and Goobric, assessment tools that allow teachers to attach rubrics to assignments in Google Classroom with ease.  Whether veteran or novice, each participant will leave this LILAC-sponsored workshop with something of practical value for his or her day-to-day instruction.

Putting the STEAM in Your ELA Curriculum


This workshop will focus on ways to integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) into your Language Arts curriculum. Participants will be involved in hands-on experiences and will walk away with many ideas to use with students that connect to picture books, chapter books, as well as content area units of study. The target audience would be K-8 ELA and reading teachers, librarians, principals and department supervisors.
