LILAC Gambone Writing Contest
Submissions will be accepted through April 19, 2024.
Schools may submit for consideration the work of one or more students in grades 4, 7, and 10. The student entries must be submitted by a current member of LILAC. Each student must enter two pieces. The first piece is a timed, on-demand writing response to the following prompt: “Together we are stronger…”
The second piece should be self-selected from the student’s portfolio to reflect the
student’s best work.
Join us for our After School Winter Workshops being held virtually from 3:45-5:15 p.m.
On February 8th, 2024, our featured presenter will be writer and researcher, Professor Katherine Johnston. Prof. Johnston will discuss how to recenter student agency in the age of AI. Together, we will examine methods for responsibly and effectively integrating generative AI into course instruction and student writing.
